Why Bali roofs are switching

Sunshine year-round, rising tariffs, and a grid under pressure make solar an easy call.

Cut your bill up to 90%

A correctly sized grid-tied system covers most daytime use, so your PLN bill shrinks month after month.

Stay ahead of the rules

Rooftop solar is being mandated across Bali's low-emission zones. Install now and you're compliant, not scrambling.

Ride out blackouts

Add a battery and keep the lights, Wi-Fi and pool pump running when the grid or the undersea cable goes down.

Add value for guests

Villas and hotels that run on clean energy command better reviews, ESG credentials and rates.

Common questions

How much does a solar system cost in Bali?

As a rule of thumb, a standard rooftop system runs about Rp 10–20 million per installed kWp. The right size depends on your bill, roof and PLN meter, send us those and we'll give you a real number.

Will I really eliminate my PLN bill?

A well-sized grid-tied system can cut a daytime-heavy bill by 90% or more. Since May 2024 PLN doesn't pay for surplus you export, so we size systems to match what you actually use during the day, and add a battery if you want night-time cover.

Do I need PLN approval?

Grid-tied systems go through a PLN application, which is normally decided within about 30 days. Your installer handles the paperwork. Off-grid systems don't need it.

Is rooftop solar now required in my area?

Bali has designated Nusa Dua, Kuta, Ubud, Sanur and Nusa Penida as low-emission zones where hotels, villas, restaurants, offices and homes are pushed to adopt rooftop solar. Rules are being finalised, installing early keeps you ahead.

How long does installation take?

Most residential and villa installs are done in a few days once the design is agreed. The PLN net-metering application is usually the longest step.
